So I found this awesome photo of her that doesn't look like the archetypal Monroe (blowing the kiss or wind up the skirt), and I had to draw it. I am not into doing silhouettes lately (although they are wonderfully simple), I just happened to come across two great photos...besides, there is something to be said for a nicely done silhouette.

Approx. 7-8 hours
4H, 2H, H, B, HB, 4B, 6B, 8B, 9B
TP & Q-tips...and I also gave in and used my fingers a bit.

This is actually a PHOTOGRAPH of the drawing since I did not like how the scan was coming out...it is just too much of a pain to piece it together and then remedy all the shade differences, not to mention the fact that everything gets a glare from the scanner.

This is fantastic! I so hope you win with this. The details and shading are spectacular. Also, you always seem to capture the eyes perfectly....this is SO important. I can't help but fav it.

Eyes are my specialty and I always havew to make sure they are perfect because a good drawing and emotive piece depends on them. Thanks for the :+fav: :D.
